During this unusual holiday you will have the opportunity to take part in archaeological excavations and learn more about the ancient history of this land. Each participant will be awarded a certificate after completing specialized courses and seminars presented by archaeologists from the Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”.
The program is designed both for specialists and for everyone with an interest in archaeology or who just wants to enjoy an amazing experience. The culture of the Thracians has provoked the interest of the world’s archaeological society after the discovery of the unique tombs of Thracian kings in recent years as well as the Thracian Golden mask just last summer. In this sense we offer you to combine your vacation trip with adventure, which will return you back to the ancient times in the world of the Thracians and his Great Kings.
Aim of our investigation, are the remains of one of the important cities of a Thracian rulers during the Helenistic epoch. The site is situated in one of the most beautiful areas in Bulgaria and has statute of national reserve. Nowadays it is object of study for the students and scientists from Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”.
Apart of the archaeological training you will also be able to enjoy a number of excursions to nearby places of historic importance. All the time the group will be lead by professional archaeologist and guides, who also will take care for the good mood of the participants. The members of the expedition will be accommodated at a hotel, near to the site of excavations.
The package is on full board basis from the dinner on the first day till lunch on the last day.
